It is very heavy because you can only select fusion materials from the field. Also, since this card is removed after activation, it is truly a completely one-use card. Gem-Knight has many monsters with high hit points, so you can expect a considerable pump-up, but the fact that it's limited to that turn makes it even more difficult to use.
It's nice to be able to use the RBI effect even with Dimensional Fissure... but if you want to specialize in Pars, Fusion Ame Epon is still better.

The combo of Ruby's and Opsidia seems to make up for the hitting surface quite a bit. It would be nice to be able to use other cards as well...
If you're going to use it, pars, which has two attacks and penetration, is the top candidate. 3000 over penetrating double intense is really exciting.
